Gutline Pty Ltd ("Gutline", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We operate in Australia and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
At this pre-launch stage, the only personal information we collect is:
- Your email address — submitted voluntarily when you join our waitlist
- Technical information — your IP address, browser type, device type, and the date and time of your visit, collected automatically when you load the website
- Anonymised analytics — aggregate, non-identifying information about how visitors use the site
We do not collect payment information, health data, or sensitive personal information at this stage.
Why we collect it
We use your email address for one purpose: to send you a small number of updates as Gutline prepares to launch. This typically means no more than two emails before launch, plus a launch notification. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email we send.
We use technical information to ensure the website is working correctly and to understand how people find us.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to operate this website. They process your information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations:
- Netlify — hosts our website and receives your form submissions. Based in the United States with appropriate data protection measures
- Plausible Analytics — provides anonymised, privacy-friendly website analytics. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. Based in the European Union and fully GDPR-compliant
- Email service provider — once selected, we may use Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or a similar provider to send waitlist emails. This policy will be updated when finalised
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with any other third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
How long we keep it
We retain your email address until you ask us to delete it, or until two years after the public launch of Gutline (whichever comes first). Technical information is retained for up to 90 days in aggregated form.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information at any time
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications
- Make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we have mishandled your information

Cookies
This website uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for the form submission process. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies at all. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. If this changes when we add marketing tools, this policy will be updated and a cookie consent banner introduced.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (such as Netlify) are based outside Australia. Where your information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a comparable standard as required under Australian law.
Changes to this policy
As Gutline grows and we add new services (such as ecommerce, subscriptions, and customer accounts), this policy will be updated to reflect those changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to existing waitlist subscribers by email.
