Gutline Pty Ltd ("Gutline", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We operate in Australia and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
At this pre-launch stage, the only personal information we collect is:
- Your email address: submitted voluntarily when you join our waitlist
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type, device type, and the date and time of your visit, collected automatically when you load the website
- Anonymised analytics: aggregate, non-identifying information about how visitors use the site
- Advertising source: if you arrive from one of our ads, the campaign details in the link (for example which ad you clicked), so we can see which advertising is working
- Advertising measurement: only if you accept, information collected by the Meta pixel about your visit, used to measure our ads (see Cookies below)
We do not collect payment information, health data, or sensitive personal information at this stage.
Why we collect it
We use your email address for one purpose: to send you a small number of updates as Gutline prepares to launch. This typically means no more than two emails before launch, plus a launch notification. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email we send.
We use technical information to ensure the website is working correctly and to understand how people find us.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to operate this website. They process your information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations:
- Netlify: hosts our website and receives your form submissions. Based in the United States with appropriate data protection measures
- Plausible Analytics: provides anonymised, privacy-friendly website analytics. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. Based in the European Union and fully GDPR-compliant
- Brevo: our email service provider, which stores your email address and sends our waitlist emails. Based in the European Union and GDPR-compliant
- Zapier: securely passes your form submission from our website host to Brevo. Based in the United States with appropriate data protection measures
- Meta Platforms: only if you accept, the Meta pixel measures whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to waitlist sign-ups. Based in the United States
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with any other third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
How long we keep it
We retain your email address until you ask us to delete it, or until two years after the public launch of Gutline (whichever comes first). Technical information is retained for up to 90 days in aggregated form.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information at any time
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications
- Make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we have mishandled your information

Cookies
This website uses cookies necessary for the form submission process. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies at all.
We also use the Meta pixel to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising leads to waitlist sign-ups. The Meta pixel only loads if you choose Accept in the consent notice when you first visit. If you choose No thanks, it never loads and no advertising data is collected. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for gutline.com.au, which will bring the notice back.
Where the Meta pixel is active, Meta may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit, and handles that information under its own privacy policy. You can also manage ad preferences directly in your Facebook and Instagram settings.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (Netlify, Zapier and Meta Platforms in the United States, and Brevo in the European Union) are based outside Australia. Where your information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a comparable standard as required under Australian law.
Changes to this policy
As Gutline grows and we add new services (such as ecommerce, subscriptions, and customer accounts), this policy will be updated to reflect those changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to existing waitlist subscribers by email.
